Hat's off to Mike and his crew for doing such a super job for this first year event in Dover, DE. Great venue, the DJ was tops, and the custom trophies were amazing. Thanks Mike for the all that you did and really looking forward to this event in Dover next year! |

I can honestly say this is the best, first time show i have every been to. It was organized well and it was at a great location. The custom made trophies where fantastic and well done. It was a great show & swap, as well as lots of great people. GREAT JOB TO ALL OF THOSE INVOLVED!! Looking forward to next year. |

I gotta second Don's words... For a first time event, this was just FANTASTIC !
Swap had plenty of early AM deals, I sold some parts myself, and WOW what a Split Bus turnout for the show !!!
I think there were more Buses on hand then any other VW type there.
Am I wrong ?
Mike and his crew did a fantastic job with this one.
This is a great location for a show, on a weekend that doesn't interfere with any other VW show that I know of or would go to, and I will be there again next year for sure !
This show can only grow and get even better...and it SHOULD !
Great job guys _________________ Drive your VW... That's what it was made for.

I'm still editing mine. I hope to have them finished tonight. I'll definitely post a link here as soon as I get them uploaded. |

Thanks! I was hoping there would be more boom boxes. I'll have to get my hands on one, so I can bring it next year.
I thought people were anxious to see the pics and now that they're up, it's a ghost town in here. |

I'm actually surprised there weren't more H2O cooled VWs there.
It just seems like most of the shows out on the east coast anymore, the water-cooled guys always seem to be at least on par ( if not totally out-number ) us air-cooled guys.
Not that that's a bad thing ~ I always enjoy seeing both if they're done well.
Nothing wrong with hosting pics on Photobucket either.
At least you took and posted pics... one thing I always seem to be too busy with everything else going on to do _________________ Drive your VW... That's what it was made for.

Thanks for the nice shot of my GTI... Good talking to you on Sunday. |
You're welcome! It was my pleasure actually. Your car looks great! It's making me feel bad about neglecting mine. It was definitely cool seeing you there. Hopefully it won't be another year+ before we cross paths again.

I left my water-cooled car at home, which felt really weird, but as I said above, I've been kind of neglecting it and it's not really show worthy at this time. Besides that, my family wanted to come with me, so it made more sense to bring the SUV. I felt really lame cruising in it with a bunch of awesome VWs, but I can't say I regret bringing it. I was really just there to take pics and enjoy the show anyway.
I think a lot of the water-cooled guys went to some event in PA that weekend. You know, one of that stance shows that I'm really beginning to hate. I've been looking around at air-cooled cars for sale ever since the show ended. I'm hoping to have one by next year.
As for Photobucket, I'm not sure if you guys are able to download the full resolution shots or not(2048x1365). If not and anyone wants the hi-rez version, just let me know. I can either email it to you or upload it to my server and send you a link. |
