Today of all days no one loves victory and/or freedom? Someone out there loves victory and freedom. |

Nice.... I like the orange on blue.
I fly Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2.... it has a Hellcat in it's library of planes to fly. It's awesome!
My buddy bought that Messerschmitt Bf 109 inspired bug.... if that's the one from East Tennessee.

This is my old beetle. I purchased it with the German pebble camo, and added the crosses. Fun car which left me with a hankering for another. Since that one was Axis themed it was only right to have this one be an Allied themed fun machine.
New 15x6 rims have arrived.
2 - 235 75 15's will be here on the 24th. |

My tires showed up yesterday. Mounted this morning.
Big tires + stock fenders = Fender rub
Short term fix
Anyone have luck rolling the fenders with a pipe or bat? |

The rims came from Summit, best price I could find with shipping.
The tires came from Wal Mart, $74.50 each plus $12 to mount and balance.
I'm on-call this week so I have had zero time to do anything besides mount the one tire on the car. The old rears will now move up front. C'mon Friday, I need a beer and a nap. |

I got my beer and my sleep. I was then able to get both wheels mounted on the car. I used a MagLite and a few gentle hammer taps to open the fender up. While I was down there I also swapped the over sized EMPI coil overs for the correct KYB Gas Adjust shocks. Then I was made aware the the driver's side torsion bar is a bit more relaxed than passenger side, more fender rub. So my side has the EMPI back in until I can re-index.

If I wasn't going dual, that would be the best non-cyclone to have. _________________ Wash your hands

$4 was worth it. These are my heads after being neglected. Cut rear end and just an air filter on the carb for many moons (and storms). Even after being stored in the garage for 3 months I still had water in the engine when I broke it down. So for now I use my Tom Servo filter cover.
