If any of you have an Aztec Gt kit car or know of one I would like to hear from you. I am scouting for some parts like the clear plexiglass headlight covers, original fiberglass bucket seats, I just like to see pictures of how others did their dash boards and other parts of their cars. What wheels (5 lug) would look cool on them?? Also could use some tips on stripping paint off of fiberglass and proper primers and materials (good stuff) to use.
I am also scouting for another complete Aztec GT kit car or maybe a Devin D car if someone has one for sale. Tim |

not for sale but have a Devin witch I believe is a true ss, in the barn. It was bought by a friend back in the early 70s for $5000. about 5 years ago he lost his storage of it and asked if we could put it in the barn. About 6 months later lost contact with him as he works a couple hundred miles away and there it sits. A buddy and me share the barn rent and figure he`ll turn up sometime. Would bet when he does he`ll just say keep it. If and when that comes we`ll restore it and cruise it around some. _________________ Mid America Funfest, Effingham Illinois

This was the first and only one I`ve seen in person. When he called to have us trailer it for him, had never heard of a Devin. did a little research after and found there were several models of them and price ranges all over the place. Since we have had it stored seen a Devin D on Ebay once but never seen what it closed at. If I hear another for sale I`ll just pass the info on to you, but not a common car that goes up for sale it seems. I have to go take some pics this weekend at the barn of The Cimbria and will move the junk in front of it and get a pic for you to see. what area of the country you from, Vintage? oops seen from PA. guess I should have looked at that first _________________ Mid America Funfest, Effingham Illinois

Hey Tim,
I saw your other Aztec at the Deutch Classic the last couple years. If I had the room it would probably be in my garage at the moment There was a A7 in Carlisle not too long ago for sale, but that won't help. I'll keep my eye open - I'm always scouting for kits that come up for sale across the US. I'll let you know if I find anything!

I have a Aztec GT clamshell canopy (or "tiltcab") sitting in a storage unit in Ohio, but, no, its not for sale. Mine is just the body, no undercarriage or interior or headlight covers. Since I will be starting off with so little, I will be taking liberty to build it full out, radical custom. |

When I was young (yesterday) I always figured that one day I'd own either a Cheetah or a '61 Devin C Roadster. Well that didn't pan out all that well. _________________ "I still say that theoretically what we really need here is a neutron flux high enough to bypass the gaps of instability."

A6UL, Parallel minds.. I had a VW Devin in the mid-60's and almost drove to AZ from Wisconsin to buy a Cheetah. There seemed to be nothing better to my eye. It was only $7,500. but I had 3 kids and a non-woking wife. Picked up a local '54 356A coupe instead - POS.

Well at least you had the VW Devin. As for the Cheetah, your right, there is just something about that body that in my eye always stood far above any other shape.
And even though over the years my taste in Wine, Women, and Song, has all changed (a few times) there is still something alluring about the Cheetah, every time I see a picture of one. _________________ "I still say that theoretically what we really need here is a neutron flux high enough to bypass the gaps of instability."

found a old picture of my fiberfab Aztec that I had when I first got married that was in 1967 sorry I sold it but when I first got married it was my 1959 bug or the Aztec needed money to live. I am still married to the same person and now I drive a 1973 thing everyday and my wife and kids and grandkids ride with me. sorry for the picture quality but it is a copy of a old polaroid picture that my son found today.
