67 Ghia heater vent covers?

Just picked up a 1967 Ghia Coupe. Noticed that the front and rear heater vents were just carpeted over.
Are they supposed to have a cover that would give a finished look with the carpeting installed?

Yes there are. They are controlled with the center levers. The hear have round trim rings.
