Okay so I was driving my 73 super beetle (Stephanie) through a field testing my new throttle cable. And I was in second gear when I heard what sounded like a hub cap coming off. But all hub caps are still on the car. I don't see anything visually wrong with the car, and it runs fine. Any ideas?

That's possible. I just didn't know if there might be something with the heat shields are anything that might make that noise. Just got the car running this week so I'm over paranoid about every little thing.

Probably a stone hopping up off something underneath and making a clank. Retrace your route and see if anything you need fell off.
