A friend of mine came across a Judson supercharger. He wants to install it on his 1600 s/p motor. I have no expierence with these. Any conerns or ideas on installing it? Thanks in advance

Not much experience with the Judson, but I believe that when the Judson's were installed on a 36 horse power engine there was only a 25% increase of horsepower. So you took a 36hp engine and made it 45hp... It might look and sound cool, but for real gains, a set of heads, cam and carbs would be the way to go if the sole reason for installing the Judson is performance.

Agreed. A Judson would be much better suited to someone who wanted to run a "vintage speed" 36 or 40 horse with period specific modifications. Many better and less expensive options for 1300/1500/1600 based engines.

1600cc is too much for a Judson. For simplicity and reliability with a Judson stick to the 1200cc engines.
