Exactly my thought!! Just the interior is worth the asking price! _________________ /// '89 Syncro Sport Joker, Reimo Hightop, mTDI

I was just up there in the Adirondacks on vacation and could have seen both this one and the Syncro in Norwich. Drove through both towns and missed out on both of them. _________________ '87 Westy in Wolfram Grey Metallic |

Maybe this belongs in the whine thread, but...really?
That's the best picture you could get of your van...really? REALLY???
Why not ask your neighbor to email you a pic from his house...it's probably closer...

Hi all,
I'm a total newbie and not a Vanagon owner (yet!), so I hope I'm posting in the right spot. I check this thread frequently for vans to check out and would love to hear any feedback on this one:
http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ctd/4683779575.html
I'm going to go take a look at it today. What do you all think? Reasonably priced? Any tips on what I should look for/ask about are welcome!
Thanks,
Kathryn |

Made an offer on it.
The van is a little over an hour from me.
You will see it being parted in the classifieds if the offer is accepted. |

cosmetic flaws; dented in the rear of the side door
I GUESS that could just be considered a dent.

Nice van but overpriced. Check the classifieds here for better value.

Hey, guys, I have never owned a bus but am seriously considering a 97 Eurovan Full Camper. It has 125,000 miles on it and most everything appears in working order. The transmission has NOT been rebuilt. Owner reports no problems and has every single service record since he bought it new in 1997. It has a small ding in the bumper (some cracks) but other than that, it looks to be in good condition. Interior has barely even been used, the propane mechanism that powers the fridge does not work but I see that is common.
What should I be looking out for? What is a fair price? The initial price was $16,000 but I need to know what to look out for when I counteroffer! Thanks for your help, this site is great. (I knew the brotherhood of VW ownership ran deep, but you guys really are committed. Can't wait to be a part!)

Dan, You should start a new topic with your questions. Maybe title it "Looking at a '97 EV, have questions".
This topic is really for posting for sale ads that others might be interested in...
