Hi all,

I am looking for a hands-on course on the basics of maintaining my new old bus. I can do very basic stuff - change oil, sparkplugs, bulbs, etc. - but am intimidated by doing more. I have John Muir's book, but what I'd really like is to spend a week in a garage learning hands-on.

I'm in Ontario Canada, but would be willing to travel for such a course. Does anyone know of any?

Thanks in advance.

3-4 different manuals are better than any 1 manual. My favorite VW manual is the UK Autobook by Autopress for ease of understanding! I found mine used for $15 at www.books4cars.com

Agree with Mike, I have several manuals and read them first then do what I think based on the manuals.

sorta....find a local vw shop and offer to come in a few times a week to sweep the floors, do a bit a parts washing, organize their "junk" piles etc in exchange for a bit of knowledge, tips and tricks.
