I am upgrading my throttle cable to a connect to my Weber IDF single...

The new cable comes with a sheath that runs from the pan, Over the shroud, to the carb, and attaches at the air cleaner base.

I need to remove the factory cable sleeve that attaches to the pan and I have No idea what that takes...

help! Very Happy

Joe-
There is not really anything holding the throttle cable guide tube in place except for the cable itself.
Here's a nice illustrative photo Dennis posted a while back:
Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

The front end slips into a tube in the tunnel, and the steel guide tube that runs through the fan shroud slips into the back end.
Without the throttle cable in place, it would probably fall off.

You are correct, again, Gary!!

I just didn't have the angle of he dangle right, when I was wiggling/pulling on it... The sleeve slipped right off Cool

Got the new cable in, carb installed and plumbed... Very Happy . Then had to mow.. Rolling Eyes

Hope to do some tuning tomorrow and take a drive!
