Hello-
I would like to know how to fix a clicking noise which is only heard while the car is in motion. It most noticeable by the speedometer /odometer gage.
i bought this 69 Ghia 1 month ago and could use some help.
Thank you
Cori

Could be speedo cable or speedo gears getting bad, hardened grease build up.... Easiest to check/replace the cable first. If its the speedo they are repairable. You can dive into it and dissassemble...or I have used Steve Burdette to work on a few for me. Reasonable and good.

If you're lucky it might be the clock! Often the fusible link has melted on the VDO Kienzle clock, but if it hasn't, it might only keep running when jiggled by the movement of the car. There's an audible click every couple of minutes when the mechanism throws back.

Sounds unlikely though!
