Trying to troubleshoot a headlight fuse that keeps blowing. The battery is dead so I hooked up the charger and the fuel pump is humming loud. The key is not turned on.
Any ideas?? _________________ 65 Beetle

It sounds like your fuel pump is powered up all of the time instead of on the the ignition side of the key. That would run your battery down also. _________________ I'd rather be an hour early than 5 minutes late. (Mine)

I thought so too. The sound is a very low hum now. I cant believe I have not noticed this for a year and a half and when I turn off the charger the sound stops. _________________ 65 Beetle
