I am finally trying to refill the coolant. I have coolant dripping in the engine bay, drivers side. The two new hoses have no leaks, bone dry on outside, either at the connection to the engine nor up top. I've done a visual search with a mirror and from underneath and can't see where it's leaking. Where would the coolant be coming from?

1) Water jacket seal @ DS head
2) Water pump &/or weep hole

Pressurizing the cooling system would give you the answer to your question in 5 minutes.

Thanks. I did get under there, with the system somewhat pressurized and found the drip:

I have skimmed through the Bentley and the Haynes book and really didn't find anything specific to the water jacket seal. So if I take off this (and is it as easy to remove by removing the 4 bolts holding it?) cover, will I more of an idea of where the leak is?

Or can I just assume it's the seal? If it's the seal, the Haynes says that an engine removal is the next step, would that be correct?

Any idea where (Bentley, Haynes, etc.) I can find what needs to be done to just replace the seal?

It seems that if the seal went, couldn't that over pressurize the system and blow the hose?
