Hi out there in VW land I have a 57 prairie beige oval and am restoring my wheels anyone know what color they shot on the inside of wheel outer lip is prairie beige is the inner silver white silver beige or ????? Any help would be great thanks.

Just do a search and you find this, that I posted fairly recently

The outer is NOT prairie beige, but L77 with the inner L277. You can find the inner color, but not L77. Look at the photo (its a link) in the above thread and you will see that L77 is slightly darker than L378. My suggestion is IF you have an original rim, have it scanned to match & post the formula for informational/documentation purposes. IF not, look for a slightly darker beige that you can live with.

In this pic, you can see Prairie Beige on the left, then the next on the right, is L77 for the wheel rims, and then L277 for the wheel disc.

All PPG VW paint colors are available at OReilly Auto Parts, here in Oklahoma...they can mix spray cans also. I'm quite sure they are in Cali as well.

This is what I sprayed (from a can) L380 Turquoise...
