I have wanted an amphibious car since I was 10 --- a couple of Porsche 914 parts cars almost became schwimmers ----- but now its my THING that keeps asking to swim

I have seen 3 pix of the ONLY swimmer thing in the WORLD (that what the text says) and I want mine to be 2nd

I need a PTO idea from the group - easier than the Type 166 system -

Not looking for speed boat just 7-10 knots

this is the pto from the 1940's

I am thinking a more modern stern drive from a small inboard/outboard setup

That looks like a fiberglass body and a homemade drive setup. Is this a replicar?

Since it isn't going to look original or period-correct anyway, how about skipping the PTO, installing a high-output generator/alternator, and using one or more larger electric trolling motors?
