I'm in the process of removing my engine on my 72 Super. That top left (driver's side) bolt seems impossible to reach. It's also in what looks to be a housing???? I researched before I asked, but I didn't see any answers on how to remove that bolt/nut. Any help?

It's reachable, but real difficult.

Yeah, like listed above, 17mm socket, long extension, ratchet wrench. I'm notsure I've even used a universal joint, and I know I don't have a swivel-socket in the 17mm size, and I've not had issues with these.

Hey guys. Sorry being late getting back ya. I've been in the shop trying to figure this out. I pulled the driver's side wheel off and thought maybe I could get to it from the back side. Guess what? I stuck a screw through the hole where the bolt is supposed to be and it went all the way through. NO BOLT! Ha--problem solved. Whoever put the engine in didn't bother putting the bolt back in. When I finish my engine work, I'll put one in at that time.

SB, No, I don't live in NW Arkansas. Woo Pig Sooie! Very Happy

Very common not to have one there. Mine didn't either. You can pick one up at Ace hardware when you put it back in. I just used a ratchet with an 6" or 8" extension, no swivel. Each to their own....

I'm going to pick one up asap. Thanks. Kinda of a blessing it wasn't in, I don't know if I can reach my fat arm up in there.
