Anybody out there have one of these? If ya do, does it work? Is it sturdy? Can it hold two 16 oz triple shot lattes?

Pretty spendy but no holes or drilling required.

I don't like this design because when (not if) anything spills it is going right down the face of your radio and/or across your dash. I much prefer those flip style, adjustable cup holders that hold almost any size cup. Two of them mounted on the passenger seat base facing the driver works great. Even when flipped open they don't get in the way of walking through the aisle.

"Can it hold two 16 oz triple shot lattes?"

Dude, do you really drink half a litre of coffee with three shots at once? You don't need a cup holder, you need a pace maker.

I do have the flip-down drink holders....just haven't figured out where or brought myself to the point of drilling holes and installing them. I liked the simplicity of the Just Kampers design.

As for 2 16 oz triple shot lattes....one's for me and the other for whoever is in the copilot seat.

And I'm a "sheila". I can handle the triple shot latte....but only one a day. I tried a 4-shot latte a few times....now those require a pacemaker. Anxious

It is pretty costly to hold coffee but a triple shot is pretty costly as well and requires security! Smile

I'd buy some MDF and make myself a centre console for about the same price. WAIT! I did do that! Smile

I felt that the dash is way far away, a long reach to get a cup or stow a cup of hot Joe.

I was Scrapping a 2002 Dodge Caravan and grabbed the center console and mounting hardware from it.

I bolted the console in while I had my carpet out.

I now have a quick release console if I want it gone, two adjustable cup holders, multiple compartments to stash "stuff" and a power port as well.

Cost? Zero $$'s

Hay Dave,

Did that center console need any modifications to it or the mounting hardware or did it just bolt down to the floor?

The mounting plate fastened to the floor just fine.

The console is a quick release from the plate, sqeeze a lever and lift.
The plate is wired with 12volts.
There is a rubber plate cover fir when the console is remover, a floor storage tray of sorts......
If I ere to go to a junkie for a console, look for the newer ones, they are much nicer! Mine however was free and that's good enough for me!

2002 Dodge Caravan Center Console

Metal Mounting bracket screwed to the floor and padding/Carpet sliced to fit around it.......... (Yes, I reversed the mounting direction from Dodge's orientation...... It fit better) ........

With rubber attachment plate cover for when choosing not to use console, you get a rubber floor tray...........

^^I like consoles... but my dog would not (that's where he lays during travel)

Like the OP, I am looking for a good cup holder that will be out of the way and doesn't involve drilling holes.
Ours would look to hold two 12oz double-shot lattes Laughing

The bus depot version is the closest I've seen to meeting our needs (so far)

I have this kind of cupholder
http://www.busdepot.com/ch100m
Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I recommend you NOT get this kind, above. It is not reliable at holding on to the cup against the side of my front passenger seat, the arms can open up when the van is in a right turn, or bouncing along a dirt road. I suppose if you mount it to the dash or front heater cover, so the cupholder arms opening faces the back of the van, you might Not be able to dump your coffee on takeoff, not sure. My review, Product Design Fail!

This version, below, imo is superior, because the cup ring is a full ring

WOW!!! You must be cornering at some SERIOUS Gs Shocked . I have never had an issue with these cup holders opening up and dumping my drink... ever. Love 'em! I put my double insulated stainless steel 20 oz or 16 oz Mate iced tea in them every day... no prob at all. I have two mounted on the passenger seat base near the floor (opposite from the e-brake on the driver's side). Also, easy to use the aisle to pass through to the rear of the van. I suppose if I step on one and destroy it... $7 ain't so bad Laughing . As for mounting... Four small holes is a non-issue AFAIC. If anyone is worried about that, drill the holes and use primer and/or silicone Rolling Eyes .

For the record, I'm not a 32 oz Big Gulp guy... so I don't know how this cup holder would or wouldn't handle such a beast.

Thanks for keeping me honest, I actually dont use 16 oz Coffee mugs,

I drink SmartWater (takes a while to work it seems Wink ) in 1 liter bottles,

they are taller than cups, and hold 33.8 fluid ounces, more than double what that coffee mug holds,

I again yield to the distinguished and accurate gentleman with the stainless mug

And yeah, I corner hard, tight, and Fast, LOL!Smile

A Samba member made and sold these for awhile.
I have two.. Adhesive tape to dash surface.
Very nice looking and convenient.
2 seasons now and the tape holds strong.

I'll dig up the contact info if interested. Let me know.
Not sure if he is still making them, however.

I also have a center console.. and a love/hate relationship with it.

Gawd I hope not... I can pound that stuff!

In regard to the holder, on the dash is a NO go for me. If it is a cold drink then it gets sunlight to heat it up, plus I don't need another dash distraction that the CHP loves to pull ya over for (obstruction of vision)

it was on the left side of the passenger seat opposite of the hand brake handle and it's not convenient because there's always something in that spot like the missus handbag...

^^^ That's a great spot! Never seen that before. Kinda one of those "Why didn't I think of that" moments. Sure beats a center console or a shift console IMHO.

Fischer cup holders are pretty nice. I have them in my van and I prefer them over the other style for sure.
