I am sure this is an easy thing but I have been staring so hard at this wiring diagram my eyes are crossed. (The colors!) I can't figure out where the wires connect to in the diagram. I am putting my bus back together and not sure if it is a relay, switch, or the connect somewhere. Brick wall

That's the headlight relay (high / low beam switching relay).

Here's the highlighted details:

Also note correction in relay wire colors.

I could be wrong, but isn't that the High Beam/Low Beam Flasher Relay?

Check yours. If the Male wire posts are labeled as they are in the diagram (F, S, 56a, 30 & 56), then that is certainly the part you're not sure about.
Here's a picture from the forums of a 12volt version:

Well thank goodness! That makes sense now. I should have traced K1 from spedometer to at least get its the high beam lights. But would not have even guessed it was a relay too. Time for the parts store.

Thanks will take aspirin and attack this wiring.

If you have a 12-volt system, Wolfsburg West has a replacement:

They seem to currently be out of stock of the 6-volt version:

The 66 diagram has that 'instrument' missing from the key and is not labelled in the diagram.

I cross referenced it with the 67 diagram and it made more sense.
