I loved it when (in 1987) everybody bought baby turbos and found the only way to see out of them was to mount them crooked on the window frame (also to cover the mounting hole on late bugs).

Ignacio Vittolini is probably still rolling in his grave...

I have carbon fiber f-1 mirrors on mine I hade the turbos couldn't see anything out of the passengers side & not much out of the drivers side

I went with the stock style, in black. It mounts in the stock location without modification and fit the look I was going for better than a chrome mirror or baby turbo.

They're Brazilian mirrors. I had them on mine for a while before the Californias.

They fit well on a Germanlooker but the passenger side isnt too useful.

Where can I get a set of mirrors like that, I don't like my chromes. That car looks great, will inspire me to do something similar to mine in the future.

BTW, what wheels are those, and what size and tire combo?

J Bugs carries these mirrors in black.

Wheels are 17x7, 45 ET, factory take offs a European Toyota. Tires are 205/40/17 front, 225/45/17 rears.

I'd like to resurrect this thread. Although I bought some mirrors, theyre really not what I wanted..
