I got a chance to meet Tim Leventry this summer, at the O.C.T.O. meet up in Long Beach. He had recently restored an old logo on a 1962 VW Panel Bus my brothers and I had been working on. He did an amazing job bringing the logo back to life but also maintaining a vintage look to it. When it was done, the logo was clearly visible, but you couldn’t tell it had just been recently done.

I got a chance to talk to him while at O.C.T.O. meet and I decided to shoot a quick video to feature his talents on http://IndieSpot.TV Hope you enjoy.

Great video!
I've always loved watching sign painters and pinstripers work. Tim is very gifted and his work is truly an art form.
Thanks for sharing.

Awesome video. I've seen Tim around the shows and different circles, but never knew he was the man behind the art on some buses. Much respect for continuing to keep this form alive.

That's a great video. I think I remember reading an article in HVWS that featured his work. What gets me is how the simulates the wear and tear so perfectly. That man has talent!

Anyone have any pictures of work done by Tim Leventry, weather it was on your vehicle or someone else's? Would love to see a collection of his work on here.

Here's my bus, he did this recently. He touched it up and brought this logo back to life.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Nice video Tim is awesome, I especially like the faded work he did on the egg bus. Would love to see more.

Is Tim a member here?

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon.
