Why are the 165/65r15 only available in Europe now. The 165/80r15 suck. Why, why, whyyyyyyyyyyy? I need them and I don't want to pay $100.00 each either. When you go to the european tire sites, they have 165/65r15 up the yangie. I got (a) new bridgestone 165/65r15 on ebay, it fits quite nice on my 74 ghia, I just need three more. Does anybody know why? Thanks |

165/60/15s are way more readily available. last i checked tires-easy.com and tirerack.com both had them. both places around $80ea
165/60/15 is just slightly smaller than traditional 135r15s.........
if you are of a height that 165/65/15 works for you so will 175/60/15 most likely or maybe even 185/55/15. tires-easy has both of those sizes in achilles atr sports for less than $50ea. i ran a set of the achilles 185/55/15 on my square for about 10k miles. when i sold the wheels/tires they looked and measured out almost as brand new after 10k on a heavy lowered type3. i had never heard of achilles but was happy as hell with them for the price. _________________ ITMC
