I bought this wiper motor at a swap meet yesterday and I'm not sure it will work in my Thing. You can barely make out the numbers on it, they look like 111 955 113 which I believe is for a 67 beetle but the shaft on it doesn't match. It looks like it would work in a Thing, all of the connections match with the exception of the ground (#31) connection is missing and the shaft looks right.

I used most of the guts out of one like that to make mine work. Can't remember why it would not interchange or why not all parts interchanged.

Since we're on the subject, can anyone tell me where to get these screws?

You may use some parts from this but Things has a gear box that mounts it to the windshield frame and the shaft post has a nut that holds it on. That beetle motor is made for a chassie assy. Hope Al Capulco can help here.

Once I took it apart I can see how different it is, there are some usable parts though so still worth picking up. Thanks for the replies.

That looks like a 2 speed 6v motor to me, not a '67. Just going by the shaft and connector block. SWF made a lot of wiper motors that look similar but are not very compatible. I have lots of those little screws, just send me a PM and you can have 4.
