Okay, inspired by watching the famous chase scene in "Bullitt" (1968) on a FRA-IAD flight today...
How many air cooled VWs do you see in the clip from when the bad guys first try to out run the hero until they crash??
You can count the same car more than once for purposes of this poll...
(The clip is all over YouTube) _________________ .ssS! |

Probably four or five and just used different camera angles. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.
Numbers Matching VW's are getting harder to find. Source out the most Stock vehicle and keep that way. You will be glad you did.

I counted 33 but gt1953 is correct....there were multiple repeats. I even noticed several of the scenes were front and back shots of the same action ..first time I had noticed that!
There were splits, early, amd lots of busses. I'm sure there are more than I got, too. _________________ .ssS! |

If you want to see a lot of old VW's - watch re-runs of "Rockford Files". He does a lot of driving and they are all over. I get a kick out of counting them during an episode. _________________ "I don't fix 'em to look at 'em, I fix them to drive."

I've been watching one or two episodes of Rockford every week on netflix. Good stuff, and a ton of old VW's .It's fun looking for them. _________________ nothing |

Rockford Files is my favorite tv show. Also, many of the old shows on MeTV have tons of VW's in them, like Emergency, Adam-12, and CHiPs. _________________ '65 1500 S [quareback]
