I found it in my parts stash, searched all all over the Samba but don't know what it is,

Looks like it could be a strut bar if you have a super. What is your stash for?

It looks like it was welded in - probably too over-the-top for a Super strut bar as they are so easy to make as bolt-in bars?

My first thought was that it might be a Panhard rod... but I'm not sure it would have two identical mounts at the ends if that was the case...

I will occasionally run into individuals selling their parts lot, like a bunch of parts and they just want to sell everything all at once.

I had bought a bunch of parts off of this guy and that bar was in there.

Do you mind measuring it? That may help identify if it would fit a Super Beetle?
