Luckily, it appears to come with a correct decklid. I'm more curious about the 1/2 year evaluation. I see that as a transition- nothing more than a color introduced by Karmann several months into a car's model year. These features would make a helluva lot of convertibles 1/2 years, no? Value of this aborted mission: more like $7k- with the motor.
Karmann did not adhere to VW's schedule of introducing features or combos. Otherwise, every '60 vert without a grab handle on the dash would be a candidate for $17k restoration abortions. To ask rare money for a common project (he wants you to pay for the inaccurate parts he bought including steering wheel and the blue top) is going to guarantee it stays in his garage for quite some time. _________________

^^^ they painted their way right out of the running for that one.
That color belongs on only two things: flowers and edible panties. _________________

I saw one like that last week. Front end had been redone and motor rebuilt. But it had 84k "original" miles. Seems like you'd have to ride it pretty hard to have to do all that. |

I am not looking to just sell this to any Joe Shmo off the street. This is my baby, so I’m looking for a good home to adopt her. |
I bet the first one with $15,500 cash gets it, even if his last name is Shmo. _________________ Glenn

I really like this guys ad. He's really honest.
"The bad: The interior is deteriorating again (tops of seats) Drivers rear floor plan has been patched (not done well) It appears to have been painted by a blind guy (orange peel)..."

You can get a 67 standard with a factory ragtop, but it doesn't look like a standard at all and I haven't seen very many. |
