Hey guys just curious what you have used or ideas on what you'd recommend to run for throttle cable. I've seen a few decent ideas, just looking for a little input from some of you.

Thanks

I know a few people look at mine and don't think much of it. And that's fine as its a budget build. Laughing

I used bicycle cable, 100' for about $20.
1/6" stainless cable, working 65lbs, breaking 105lbs.
and teflon lined cable housing.
I think if I break it I probably have something else wrong. Laughing
I do carry a extra but I have not had to use it in 5 years.
Here's something similar but a little more than I spent.
Norm

Try local hardware store.... I found a local store that had small diameter stainless steel cable by the foot....

I used the stock cavalier throttle cable and made a bracket off of the trans to hold the end. The throttle cable I already had on the buggy before the engine swap is a 1/4 in brake line with a bugpack braided cable running through it. I connected them together at the bracket with cable clamps. Haven't had any issues with it just make sure you have a throttle stop so you are not putting too much pressure on it.

I used these guys. These guys make an awesome cable. I measured the length i needed and they had it ready in just a few days. The quality is great and it is smooth as butter, no drag whatsoever.

Ok guys I went with a morse cable, but I'm looking for ideas how some of you did the motor end hookup. Already have the pedal setup figured out with a quick connect.
