A common way to ship stuff thats kinda big is greyhound, but i don't know how heavy/ large a package they would take

U-Ship.com is another alternative. You or the buyer sets the price and see if anyone accepts. Independent shippers with trucks large and small are criss-crossing US highways daily, and you can get a good deal if you're not in a big rush and willing to work with their schedule.
Since open trailer shipping is typically cheaper, you could frame the case with a solid wooden base and build a box around the motor with plywood so it's more stable, hand truck friendly and easy to tie down. That way you're basically just shipping a ~2.5 ft x ~2.5 ft wooden box that weighs ~150 lbs. _________________ -Bruce
