I've got this radio and would like to know what years/models this radio should be used on. I know the radio is 12volt and it works. Marked 11MX.

It's a Motorola and it's transistor powered, and has 3 tubes also. Only web reference says the Motorolas were made from years 55-63.

Thanks,
Ramblin Randy

Radiomuseum.org is a good place to start.

Radiomuseum has a schamatic that notes: 1961 ?
Sams Photofact notes nothing.

About 10 years ago I bought a pickup load of 1960's car radios (over 300 units) and it's always fun tracking down application. Finding a new home for this vintage radio would be a good thing too.

Best info I've found is a little website on VW Radios...

Did I mention this is a working radio... not bad for being 50+ years young.
