|
|
Hi -
Just recently put on a SCAT push/pull throttle linkage. I really like it! My only question... is where should I mount the spring included? I don't really want to go directly on the throttle arms, as to not wear out the throttle shafts if not necessary... any other ideas, or pics of what anyone else did? THANKS!

I drill a tiny hole on the face of the alternator and add the spring to the barrel nut on the cable.

I uses the air cleaner base as a anchor point and came directly off carb linkage arm, with my hex bar, you could so same with pair of springs (one lite spring on each carb)... You just have to find angles and anchors that will work...
Spring are all about gently pulling carbs closed, not slamming them shut..... Webers have a ball bearings supporting shafts so wear is probably not ever going to be a issue....
Murzi's solution seems like it would work and is pretty clean...

Thanks guys, I ended up CNC'ing out some carb tops. Gave me a good point to mount the 2 springs.
