|
|
Hi!
Is not often to see 1500L beetles. Are they an unsual model?
How many were produced?
And opinions? Who owned one of this?
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks. |

In North America the standard engine sizes went
36, 40 HP...1200cc
1966 the one year 1300cc
1967-1969 1500cc
1970 on......1600cc
So three model years with the 1500, selling about 300k cars a year in NA _________________ .ssS! |

In some European markets during the 1970 model year you could order the 1300 and 1500 in "L" form, which would have padded dashboard, reverse lights and some other "luxuries".
No idea of how many...I've seen some (specially 1300s, which were more usual around here), I wouldn't call them rare. |

OK.
And experience?
Who have or have had one of these?
I have a '61 but I'm looking for a newer model for my daily driver...
I found a 1500l and 1302 more or less identical ...
1500l - better engine, disk brakes!? 1302 - Best suspension!?
