Has anyone used the V shaped Rods to hold up your lid? I am looking to get one but there are a few out there and I would like to know if one it better than another. I have seen stainless, chrome plated steel and painted stainless ones. Thanks in advance. Here is an example

Cant go wrong with either of the rods manufactured by Randar Wheels or JBE.

The JBE actually sells two styles to help accentuate the factory lines of the deck lid- http://www.jbevwstore.com/

I saw that one by jb but they are out of stock. That is the one I would lean towards seeing how it is designed for my W.

Have been having issues getting premo Stainless material that's why I'm currently out of stock, flaws are unacceptable to me so getting material without flaws can be an issue. I go to my local suppler and inspect the material prior to purchase if there are flaws I don't by it and have to wait for the next batch to come in and inspect it.

I can respect that for sure. I would be glad to buy yours. Do you have an idea when You would be able to make some?

Just curious, why use a prop?

If you are running stand offs, the Hoodlum is a much more convenient way to go. That allows you to retain your stock spring.

My spring tweaks my lid cause there is a small support issue. I believe the rod will remedy this. No standoffs. Running a spring is not an option at the moment.

Got it. Figured it might be something like that or a fiberglass lid. I've got stand offs on my 64 and I really like the hoodlum.
