Recently, I received an email through my East Coast Dune Buggies website from Karen Ray, graphic designer with Banjo Corporation (formerly known as Terra-Products). If any of you can be of assistance, please direct your information and responses directly to her (email: [email protected]). Text of her email follows:
I currently work for Banjo Corporation, formerly known as Terra-Products. I am in search of anyone who has photos of a Terra-Buggy or old advertisements of one. I've found a few on photobucket posted by John Shepard. We are submitting items to our local museum for display about the history of Banjo. Any information or items would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Karen Ray

A few years ago I traveled to Indiana to try and find the place but was unsuccessful. The history of Terra Buggy Sales is one I was working on but the Owner had no interest in discussing it with me - at least in the 90's I will try to contact her , tks |

So far I've found a reference in the Sept 1969 issue of Road Test / Dune Buggy magazine "Dealers Directory" for a TETRA-Buggy manufacturer in the same city, same zip code. Maybe its misprint in the magazine or maybe its another name to be looking for. Its all I've found so far, but I'll keep looking for both names. Have passed this to the lady. |

This is another product that Terra Buggy Sales sold...the mini buggy.
I have two of these old buggy bodies but sadly no chassis. I am looking for a chassis to take measurements from if anyone knows of one.
The green one below is missing the correct engine cover and the engine cut out has been enlarged to fit a different engine.
I have the correct engine cover and will take a picture and post at a later date.
NOTE: the green one is not mine. It was sold a number of years ago and I was able to get shots of it.

Unfortunately the Terra Buggy did not make it into the museum piece done on Banjo Corporation (formerly Terra Products).
