|
|
I noticed that the folks over at the Old Timer Speed Club were able to obtain custom gears for their split case tranny http://www.oldtimeroldspeedclub.com/2010/12/christmas-is-early.html. Does anyone know how to obtain non stock gears?
Cheers,

i asked albins about custom 4th gears last week.
about A$2000 for a one off set
or
about A$750 per set for a run of 10 sets.
and that is just the gears, we would have to reuse our own syncro hubs.
I have also made an enquiry with dave folts if it is possible to cut and splice something but haven't heard back yet. |

If it's an e-mail enquiry, forget it. You need to call and talk to him personally. _________________ aka Pablo, Geary

hi paul, that was the price the guy who does the design work gave me over the phone.
I knew it wouldn't be cheap but at that price I'm not following it up, I just can't imagine there are 9 people willing to spend $750 on a single gear set to make it feasible. (+ I don't have $750 for a set of gears either, let alone the money for a full run) |
