If you're talking about the hole in the outside, upper B pillar in your photo in your gallery (below), they were almost certainly added by a previous owner for some aftermarket purpose. Not original to the car. Maybe some kind of roof rack mount or light? Who knows? Just like the two holes on your door that were probably added for a "turbo mirror" in the 80s, they should be welded up.

Oh, that little hole? Looks like someone got drill-happy, also drilled for passenger side mirror. Anybody's guess.

Yeah, I made an assumption that he was speaking of the elusive 62 seat belt holes....

On the outside of the car...hmmm, it quite possibly could have been the mounting holes for an early version of a Mr. Fusion set up to power the flux capacitor.

There were lots of different versions of lights that were mounted in that position over the years, but I would think that mounting any sort of light would almost require more then one hole. One for the light mount and one for the wire.

If the car is exposed to the weather it may be a good idea to cover them so rain can't get in.
