I bought an Allstate trailer and have been toting the wife's wheelchair around all summer, works wonderful. However I load it with the 80 pound chair and a 35 pound bike and maybe 30 lb wheelchair platform and it is bottomed out. Probably not the original spring and somewhat short of the 500 pounds it should be capable of carrying. Has anyone successfully pulled a spring out of the junk yard. Seems to me there should be some car with an acceptable spring. Yes I can do all the math and figure how many pounds of push and then look under the ass end of every hatchback in the yard. I was hoping someone else already went there and did that.
