I have 185/60R/14 's on my 84 Jetta. A guy is selling 185/75r/14 's at a really good price. Will I have trouble fitting these on my snowflake rims and on the Jetta?
thanks!

They will fit the rims, but the speedo will be off and you might get some rubbing at the front.

Yeh, speedo part I don't mind, but it's the rubbing I was worried about. How far off stock specs can I go without worrying about rubbing?

Dunno, but those tires are about 1.25" larger in diameter than the correct size.

Later Mk 2 Jettas came with 195-60x14 tires and they're the same as the ones you're looking at. They'll fit with no problem.

No, you've misunderstood. I was looking at 185/75r/14's. Surely not the same?

75 is a tall tire. I would stick with a 60 or 65 series at most.
