Remote heater

Way back in the last century when I lived in Chicago. I had a 64 bug, Porsche engine of course with heater boxes. When it was below 0 all I could do was close all the heat doors and use the stock boxes for defrost only. I got a hold of a Stewart Warner gas heater still in the box from the VW dealer. When I installed that baby, holy moly did I have heat. 10 below 0 I had to crack the windows a little. The passenger better not have rayon socks of they would melt to your ankles . Gas heater is the only way to go if your in cold country. Used it for years and the car never caught fire or leaked fumes in the car or any of the other things you hear about...

The best way to heat yourself with electricity is with heated seats. I've tried even a 1,600W heater and it didn't help much at all.

If a water cooled engine cools its water with air, isn't it just an overcomplicated air cooled engine?
