I just bought new tires 185/60 for the front and now I've decided to lower the car. I'm thinking the disc kit with lowered spindles from SoCal Auto Parts but I don't want rubbing. Thinking of going with adjusters in a narrowed beam. Found a beam on Craigslist for $150. I can't aford a prebuilt beam so I will build it myself. I have some welding skills but how hard is it?

If this is the wrong thread to ask, sorry. I would prefer the disc kit but not looking to rub. This is my everyday car.

New tires 165-60-15 front 205-65-15 rear rides real nice now no rubbing, just got them put on today so haven't drove it much.

I had 165-80-15 & it rubbed. With new tires I don't think I will have any problems. If you want to keep your new tires you might need a beam. I went with spindles & disc heard it was the best riding choice as I will be driving this daily to work

They look a little funky being that small. Kinda reminds me of the lower rider Cadillacs with wire wheels.

In order to get smoothies you need to change your bolt pattern to 5 wide. You can do that with adapters that will change your offset.

I don't think you will have a problem those 185-60 are just a little wider then what I have. Depending on you offset of wheel you should be fine

Oh man don't tell me that lol reason I got that size is I see it a lot on the lowered bugs or 135's but the 165's are wider & handle better.
I thought I saw I could get 4 lug smoothies somewhere.

You can make smoothies using salad bowls modified to be hub caps. Or you can gets some mooneye racing discs.

But if they don't rub, who cares how it looks.

I have 195/55-15 front and they are lower and wider than both. Rears are 205/60-15.
