Hi

I have a set of re-pop fuch's I would like to detail, they are 4.5" and 5.5", just wondering at what height to mask the line to paint to.

Cheers
Jim

Iozzio is building reproduction wheels. This is one of his 18" wheels for ideas.

If you're trying to imitate a geunuine Fuchs wheel then the paint comes up 1/16 or 1/8" from the mounting flange.

I flooded mine up to the lip at the inner edge of the step, but I have 15x7s. Deep 6s and narrower are a little different. Personally I'd go a tad more than 1/8" like 1/4" which can be hard to judge.

Nice work JWP80.

Would that be 1/4" on the 4.5" and 5.5" wheels?

I would do 1/4" either way.

These are finished in the original style, satin anodized and paint lines. 4.5's and Deep six.

I was under the impression they were just dipped in a vat of paint? The lines are the same height, level from stars to lip.
