type1 connecting rod internal diameter question??

Hi Guys,

I´m rebuilt a stock 1600cc, but I need internal diameter measure for check my rods, this information not appear in my vw manual......

Really apreciate your help.....

rods are 2.1644-2.1653 on crank with .010 each undersize
actual rods are .0012 out of round tolerance

Thanks, but I need internal diameter of the rod...not crankshaft rod....before install the bearings.......

I looked in the Chilton Manual, How to Rebuild your VW, and the Bentley and they don't have that specification.

Looks like the assumption is that you will install bearings and measure them in that state.

some books have it most dont. bearing manuls are best.I wish i had kept more of them over the years.

He's right!! Rod housing size is left out of without guesswork.
sorry, I thought it did.
