This one really shows the variance of Turkis depending on the daylight that hits it..

If there's another color combo nicer on the buses than turkis/blue white, I've not seen it.

Hey Breck, thanks!
'64, 1776SP, T1 FF Transaxle. After selling all of my toys last year, I decided to look into restoring a splitty for my wife (her dream forever). I've completed a number of really nice non-VW restos in the past (pre-kids) but quickly realized 2-3 years would likely turn into 5-7 with my current work schedule. Watching my little ones grow up from the garage also wasn't in the cards for me right now so I purchased it already restored for her from a great guy in CA. It was exactly as we wanted to restore for her which is what got me thinking about the purchase in the first place.
It has worked out because I still get to wrench, finishing some uncompleted areas and perfecting others while getting a good education on the VW world. It has sucked me in so bad that I kind of have an eye out for another unrestored, good buy (HA!) that I can just drive for a while and restore later when my kids get older and can help/learn from it.
