This is a small boat trailer that I cut down and bolted a deck with a cargo box on it. I had originally bought a cheap jet ski trailer (with jet ski) to build it on. But the guy who wanted the jet ski wanted the trailer.

He traded me for the Coleman Versa-trailer for the jet ski! (posted previously).

Then I got a message from my buddy who goes to estate sales a lot. He said, "I found a trailer for your bus, want me to pay for it and you come pick it up?" I couldn't say yes fast enough!!!

The single wheel still needs lights and the slide in 2" receiver needs some tightening up, but it is a neat little trailer!!!!

Here is the trailer I built this year for camping purposes. I have added a rack on top as well as a bike fork mount. It pulls very easy behind the bus with no wiggle. It's also completely weather proof. I love it.

This may be the inspiration that I need to redo my gear trailer. Well done. Just needs a bottle opener.

I've had this trailer for a number of years now. The box was in bad shape, so I replaced it with an "S-Cargo" shell.

My only two problems with it are that it isn't happy unless there is at least fifty pounds of load in it ... wants to bounce and shudder.

And because it's so low and narrow, I cannot see it at all when I'm driving. Maybe I'll put a flag on it.

No issues at all with towing it, otherwise. And I can fit into a long parking space.

The neat thing about these trailers is that they get a lot of attention, particularly from geezers like me who remember them from the fifties and sixties.

I'm going to be taking the PO's brown bed frame off of the original trailer, but after that I'm undecided on what I want to build. LOL I was thinking about something like busboy73's, where the top converts into a table. Then I thought about something like JLT did. I have a possible source for a top box so that would be an easy way to go. My other idea was to make something similar to busboy73 but have the top open long way so I could haul a bale of hay if I need to go get hay with it. LOL The possibilities are endless. Very Happy

Funny you should mention that. We did a partial trade. The guy wanted a tear drop that was already done. We sold him ours and then he mentioned how he had a one wheel trailer he was going to build a tear drop out of, but decided it would be easer just to buy one. So we ended up getting the one wheel from him.

My husband made this one a few years ago.

Reduce the tire pressure to 15-20 PSI and try it again. Play with that setting until you find the sweet spot. Just be sure to pump it back up when you put a heavier load in it.

I'll try that the next time I have to transport it empty. But that hasn't happened in a very long time, as I only hitch it up when I have a load to carry. And I'll pass that along to Aaron at singlewheel.com, too.

Figured I would update my trailer. It's still not completely done, but really close. I'll I need to do is attach the bike rack, but first we need to make a wide track for my fat bike.

Here is the bike rack just sitting on top.

Here it is after all latches, hinges, and hooks are installed. Just waiting on the bike rack now.

A couple pics attached to the bus before the top was put on. First test drive. It passed the Starbucks drive thru test too! Very Happy

I would love to know more how this was done. Did they build a new frame under or use bus frame...etc. I found many more pics after searching and one thread of a trailer being built. I would like to make one from my '68 donor. The frame is pretty rusted.

Ran across the Morris Mule Trailer company while trolling Craigslist.

Looks like a pretty cool trainer and very versatile, though not cheap. Probably a good value for the money/usefulness.

This thread definitely has me thinking...because I found a trailer hitch hidden inside Inga when I stripped out her camper interior.
