While my 55 oval is jacked up (cannot set it on the ground just yet need correct studs and lugs)
Noticed that my 14x6 wheels with 195/60/14s, rub on the back side of the tire up against the pan/fender wheel before the steering stops even hit. They are also very close to the headlight bucket wire tubes while wheel is cranked over. I have a ~1" gap from tire to inside fender lip When wheel is centered. This is also with cb drop spindles.
I figured I'd have a little bit less trouble with the front end then I'm having now
