|

Hi, gang, long time no post! "Life intervened", as they say, to delay my restoration of old no. 110471, but I'm back on the project again.
I've decided to replace the floor pans. I'm a fairly decent welder and metal man, but I've never replaced the pans on a 356 or a VW, so I'm not sure of the order of operations. (I have Jim Kellogg's book, which I like, but he doesn't seem to cover floor pan replacement in a lot of detail.)
Can anybody point me to a site or a book that explains floor pan replacement in a detailed, step-by-step fashion?
Thanks a lot.
Bill

Check in here.

The above is the most knowledgeable site I know of for metal working on 356s. I would suggest you join (it's free) & ask any questions you have. _________________ Mic

Thanks, Mic!
Doh! I totally forgot to check Justin's site. I'm already a member, and I can see that there's some really pertinent information on there.

Bill,
He has everything on his site! But check all his restoration efforts not just the Carrera but the coupe2 speedster one as well.
Mic is correct, its a fantastic site. Other great guys on there too with their resto's equally interesting.
Jan's 356A resto here on the Samba is an eye opener as well. How do these guys do it?? Two excellent 356 forums!
You can end up spending hour after hour ..........
