All they are is a piece of 3/4" tubing with a piece of flat steel cut in a circle welded at an angle on one end. If you took one of your existing ones to a muffler shop, if they couldn't make one for you they could certainly find a local welder who could. With the materials and proper tools in hand, its only 15-30 mins of very simple work at the most. |

Thanks! That is super helpful. I was hoping it could be replicated easily. I can ask my uncle if he can weld it for me. If he can't, then it's good to know I can try a muffler shop. Thanks again! |

Hello all,
I have a 68 Valiant that I have been fixing up and we finally took it out for our first trip. In my excitement for the trip I forgot to tighten the leg posts and one fell off on the way out. We had to use brisk to make it level. Does anyone know of a place where I can buy one or have one made? Thanks! |
I would think the local welding shop should be able to copy the one you didn't loose. |

I recommend one of each...
Getting a local upholsterer to make a new "travel cover" for my Viking next week...I'll post pics. Might have the beds recovered after that. Looking forward to a good summer. |

I agree, one of each. I have to get a bus.
What color and material are you using for the cover @wythac? |

It will be gray rubberized canvas like the old one, but without all the holes!
I'll post pics when its done, sometime in the next week or so. I might have the guy put new cushion and covers on the beds too, but probably not until later. |

Just noticed in one of your pics that it has the two trim stripes on the side doors. Very cool. Looks like the original covers on the beds too.
EDIT: Stopped by the upholstery shop on my lunch break and the top was all cut and the upholsterer was working on the snaps. Looks good, and I dont want to rush him, so we agreed I'll pick it up Monday. He was a little unhappy with it not fitting down real snug, but I told him that given what it was snugging down on, namely the tent frame, I wasnt sure "snug" was really possible. He seemed to feel a bit better after hearing that my expectations were lower than he may have thought.... |

Nice! Good idea. Very cool.
Just picked up my Viking after having a new travel cover made for it. I'm happy with how it turned out. Much easier on and off than the old, stiff, hole-y one.
I think I'm going to paint the side panels a darker green like I see on most of yours. |

I took the tail lights off and repainted them when I re-did the trailer wiring. Pretty sure they are the original ones. I was planning on taking those rear skins off and straightening and buffing them this winter, but that is one of many on a long list of things I didnt get done.
Repainting those side panels will be easy. I've been on the lookout for some cool automotive trim to fill the places on the sides that the original trim went...havent really found anything that blows my skirt up. |
