April 1964. My cousin shows his displeasure at having to wash my Granny's near new 1962 Ruby Red Beetle. The Beetle to the left is my Auntie's 1957 Canadian Standard Beetle which was dark brown. My Uncle said it was his favourite car and they owned it for many years. My Granny traded in the '62 for a new Savannah Beige '70 Deluxe Beetle. This later went through several family members before I ended up with it as my first car. Wish it was the '62 instead!

Here's a pic of my Dad's 47 that he was in the Army in Augsburg, Germany, 1966. He has some great stories of cramming GI's in it, driving through the snow with mechanical brakes.

Her car could be an entry in the "Let's Play, WTF is That!?!" topic. I'm guessing it's a British make.

I wonder where in Calif. the location is. Her license plate is one that was discontinued after 1962. Everyone had to get new black plates in 1963.

Pre '55 Anglia, a favorite with the drag racers back in the day. Uses 5x205 lug pattern Cool

It's almost as strange to see an Anglia stock as it is to see a '40-41 Willys coupe stock. It would be more recognizable in gasser trim sitting up in the front with a straight axle,halibrands with knucklewall slicks,and a blown Olds or early hemi. Smile
