|

I have searched high and low for info on wiring a set of Bosch Fanfare horns to my 1964 6V Beetle. I have the horns/relay that I got new in the box from the mid to late 60's. I guess there was supposed to be some wires with it that aren't there. I can replace those no problem. The wiring diagram is there, but I'll be the first to admit I don't know a whole lot about wiring things that have more than one wire
So I guess what I need is a plain english description (not the poorly translated technical instructions on the diagram I already have)of how to wire these up. Maybe there is someone out there who installed these on their own car?
Also, if anyone has any pics of these mounted on a bumper, I'd appreciate it. |

Reviving this old unanswered thread. I have a set of 12 volt Bosch fanfare horns and would appreciate any help on wiring. I have no wiring harness with the horns and would like to know if there are any senders, resistors, etc. required to make them work. Thanks! _________________ 67 zenith blue sunroof

Hey thanks for the info. However I'm an electrical slow learner. What is the box with 85, 86, 87 references? _________________ 67 zenith blue sunroof

That would be a relay. If you do not have one with the horns, then you will need to purchase one.
Modern relays look like this:
