I have a few 67 Bug questions. Brass plate for engine code?
Euro thing? Anyone ever seen this?

See if the VIN fits into the number scheme in the Technical section above.

Possible industrial motor??

It is a tag that a rebuild company put on there, my 70 has the exact same thing.

I had one 20 years ago in a '63 that was remanned- and the brass plate said "Sears" on it!

Engines rebuilt by Vege Motoren in the Netherlands used tags like that... ( I think the tags were aluminum, not brass though) These were marketed in the USA by ATK engines.
