Had my first Bug as a senior in high school... until it got ripped off.
Have my dad's '74 Zambezi Green vert Ghia now... learning how to repair/fix the Bug has prepared me for this next VW |

Im on my 2nd Karmann ghia
13 - 2011 a '74 with more cracks in the bodyworks than my driveway
15 - 2013 a 71' ghia that I will be driving in a few
And yes, those first number are my age  . I mow thems' lawns and I mow them well

I was 23 here in 1982 when I bought my first Ghia. A 1970 convertible. Even though it was only twelve years old, it already had rusty floor boards and bondo everywhere. Regardless, it was the most fun car I have ever owned! I am on my third now, a 63 coupe. And, um, my stomach is not that flat anymore...

Got my first Ghia last year, 2014. It's a '62 Coupe that looks strikingly similar to the one shown in that photo ('64?)! My first classic VW actually (owned a '99 Jetta, still own a 2013 TDI SW). Late to the show, but at least I showed up.

I bought my first Ghia, a 1970 Cab, in January 1971, and when I heard that Ghias were to be discontinued, I bought a new 1974 Cab in September 1974. Still have her and drive her (Mellow Marlene) regularly. She has 102K miles. So I have continuously owned a Ghia cabriolet for 44 years.
