The previous owner removed the turn signal switch and the relay. I'm looking for a relay online, however, I don't see the same relay that has 8 pins. Did they change over the years? The wiring diagram I'm looking at is for 1967 to July 1969. My bug is a 1968.

My beetle is already 12 volt. I have the original emergency switch I'm just lacking the relay. Jbugs has relays, but they don't have as many pins as the factory one. I believe I'm using the right wiring diagram. My chassis number is 118058096. I think I found a reproduction one.

I'm thinking you are using wrong diagram. try the samba under technical, using the later bently diagram. If you have the switch check and see if it has seven contact points,if so that is g1 which connects to j for flash. If you have the 3 prong switch you are going to shop used parts for j1. I think i have one will look tomorrow. If so will pm you.

This is the correct wiring diagram. I really don't see a difference though. My emergency switch has two wires coming from it.

If you have one that would be awesome. _________________ 1968 Volkswagen Bug w/ 1600 Dual Port

I was able to find a reproduction relay online. Does anyone know where I can purchase the metal bar the turn signal relay and the headlight relay mounts to? I'm looking for the bar circled in the picture below.
