Hi all, my bay window pick up is supposed to be fitted with a 914 2.0 engine BUT the engine code does not seem to add up.
The code stamped on the crankcase is 127-004243 (with no letters before it)
Any ideas from the experts ? |

Hmm...
122 was the 1200 Industrial engine
124 was the 1500 "suitcase" type 3 Industrial engine
126 was the 1500, and later, the 1600 upright Industrial engine.
I don't recall ever hearing of a Type 4 Industrial, but if they existed, 127 seems like it would be a good guess.

A 914 2.0L engine has the engine code of GA, GB or GC and the heads have three bolt intake mounting. The spark plugs are different in location too from anyother type 4 engine. Bus tin would have to be modified to work. _________________ 70 Ghia Black convert-9/69 build date-stock w/133k 1600 SP-barn find now with a rebuilt tranny and engine
